Quick Reads Fluency Program Reviews

QuickReads® fluency program (Hiebert, 2002; Published by Modern Curriculum Press, Pearson Learning Group). These materials were selected because both assisted reading and supported reading are central features of the program and suggested instructional routines. At the time the study began only the text version of QuickReads® was available. Practicing fluency skills allows students to apply the aspects of fluent reading (rate, accuracy, and intonation) as demonstrated by the teacher. Research Shows Students who have developed automaticity can quickly process high-frequency words and can decode new words rapidly. Fast ForWord is an evidence-based language and reading intervention program that uses a unique 3-step approach to deliver fast learning gains. The program was developed.
